My husband is Italian, so we really know the Italian dining places in Los Angeles, in fact we know the best Italian restaurants in all of Southern California.
Italian restaurants and Italian food have remained the most popular dining restaurants in Los Angeles and this city has some of the top Italian restaurants and chefs that you could wish for.
Some of the Los Angeles Italian restaurants feature Northern Italian cooking and Tuscan style Italian food, as well as some very traditional family style Italian restaurants, where you can bring the whole family for an celebration Italian style.
Palermos Italian Family Style Restaurant
I am going to feature our own favorite Los Angeles Italian Restaurant first. It’s called Palermos Italian Restaurant and it’s located in the charming Los Feliz Village on Vermont Avenue. This place is an institution in this town. I love to go there and hang out as much as possible.
Palermos Italian Restaurant Los Angeles
1858 N. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles 90027. Phone: (323)663-1178. This is our own favorite Italian restaurant for very good reasons. Amazing good Italian food, fabulous ambiance and great friendly service, where owner Tony knows the regulars by name, and remembers your favorite booth or table.
The walls are covered with beautiful scenic murals of famous places in Italy. The place oozes of charm and the aroma from the kitchen is wonderful. This place is packed with people on Friday and Saturday nights all the way until midnight.
I love their delicious pastas, pizzas and other traditional Italian dishes. They have an outstanding selection of Antipastos, my favorite is the Sicilian Antipasto, large enough to share. Italian style jug wines are served, however there is a great wine selection.
Did I mention that the prices are very reasonable. They are! It’s a large restaurant with a full bar, and arches dividing the different dining areas. Some tables are large, so you can bring your whole family for an Italian dinner at Palermos Italian Restaurant.
Palermos is open for lunch and dinner every day, except Tuesday. They are closed on Tuesdays! They also serve breakfast on weekends and holidays.
