Beverly Hills California is the ultimate Southern California destination, especially for the wealthy and well to do in the USA.
But it wasn’t until the Hollywood regal movie stars, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, who moved here in 1919, that Beverly Hills began to attract more of the Hollywood celebrities of that time.
The City of Beverly Hills is World famous, but it’s decidedly more subdued than its Hollywood neighbours.
From luxurious Beverly Hills Mansions to World class shopping, Beverly Hills is Los Angeles center of wealth and glamour.
Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills is home to the most famous. and most expensive, shopping area in the World. Home to such exclusive boutiques as Armani, Gucci, Cartier, Tiffany and Giorgio Beverly Hills.
Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery has become World famous as well, as a lot of movie stars would only use a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon. And, Beverly Hills Beauty Products are some of the best in the World also.
Did you know that the City of Beverly Hills was actually built around the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel, after it was opened in 1912?
Some of the areas first celebrity residents were Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, who built a home here in 1920.
Now the palm tree lined streets are filled with multi million dollar homes of a variety of showbiz stars.
Beverly Hills California has always been home to the rich and famous, celebrities and other less known, but very wealthy residents, who reside in beautiful Beverly Hills Mansions.

The designer label shopping on Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills, is truly top class. Nearly every major fashion or accessory designer in the World, keeps a flagship boutique on Rodeo Drive, or one of the side streets.

Beverly Hills California shopping is truly fantastic! The stores such as Gucci, Versace, Christian Dior, Armani, Bulgari carry the most exclusive and fabulous merchandise that a person could possibly want.
The boutiques are so fantastic, I love shopping on Rodeo Drive ( OK browsing ). The prices are equally fabulous of course.
But it’s still fun to look, and it seems I always run into one those famous celebrities when I’m in those stores.

The City of Beverly Hills will never admit it, but it was made famous to the rest of America, by the ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ TV series of the 1960′s.

The beautiful mansions and estates in Beverly Hills are situated on perfectly groomed, palmlined streets.
The 18-acre gardens of the magificient Greystone Mansion on Doheny Drive above Sunset Boulevard are open to the public for walks and picnics. The Tudor-style home is closed, except for occasional movie shots.

The hotels in Beverly Hills are World class luxury hotels. My very favorite is The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.

The Beverly Hills hotel is fresh from a $100 million renovation. It’s trendy Polo Lounge and pool-side bungalows are the site of many afternoon deal-making cocktails.
The Polo Lounge patio is my very favorite place to have lunch. I saw Annette Benning lunching there not long ago.
She was beautiful. I couldn’t help sneaking a peak at her through my dark sunglasses. Always carry a pair of those when venturing out in Beverly Hills California.

At the foot of Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills is the spectacular Beverly Wilshire Hotel. They serve high tea in the lobby daily.
It’s definitely worth a try. Years ago there was a ball for the current King of Sweden there, and I was invited.
He was only a prince then, but it was fun to receive the Royal invitation from the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Sweden , where I grew up.
This Beverly Hills hotel is very elegant. My father-in law was a Barber there for many years, and met tons of dignitaries from all over the World, and even cut their hair.

The Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel, is also one of my personal favorite hotels. My husband Tony, worked there as a Barber, before he went to work in the movie business.
I used to visit him there and have lunch poolside. The hotels pool area is very lush and beautiful, with a full service bar and attendants.

The Beverly Hills Hilton was owned by the late TV personality and producer Merv Griffin. Since his passing, his son Tony Griffin is now the owner.
The hotels location right in the middle of the city of Beverly Hills California, makes it an ideal choice hotel to stay at. The Beverly Hilton Hotel, as it’s actually called, is within walking distance to Beverly Hills best restaurants,
such as the Spago Beverly Hills and the famous Trader Vic’s Restaurant which is next door to the hotel.
Another very fine and very special hotel is the Peninsula Beverly Hills. The bar and lounge is frequented by the rich and famous. I saw George Clooney there with pals a while back.
